ABOUT US
GENERAL INFORMATION
Fellowship Baptist Church was founded in 1982 by our current pastor, Stan Boelman and his wife Paula. Originally named Bethel Baptist Church, the name was changed, after much discussion, to Fellowship Baptist Church. Fellowship is both a noun and a verb; a fellowship is a group of people who share things in common and when people fellowship together they share these things in a positive and helpful way.
Dieticians tell us that there are five basic food groups (fruit and veg, etc). As a Christian fellowship, we'd like to think we're the sixth … we offer something for the soul. Our meetings all take place on Zoom because we are currently without a venue for public meetings. Even so we continue to do our best to be a community of Christ followers.
And if you're a bit of a sceptic, we welcome you as well. Challenges to our faith don't worry us and we enjoy the dialogue. We believe the Bible has answers and we enjoy meeting folks who have honest questions. We'd like to help you on your search and can offer a range of opportunities; perhaps a personalised study group, a Christianity Explored course, or some individual discussion.
WE BELIEVE IN YOU and so does God our creator; he said so:
“And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us ...”
Acts 17:26-27
“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.”
Isaiah 1:18
